Perfect gift

I have been all year thinking of this calendar. Every time I go out to see the animals I carry the camera.

I take thousands of pictures. No one single one of them captures the real beauty, the touch, the sounds, the character… The pictures are only a bare approximation to the real experience. And still, when I look at each picture, all of this feelings and emotions flare out of the memories. I hope when I create something I can transmit at least a pinch of all this.

I make this calendars available to closest people for a symbolic price. They come and pick it up, we take them to work colleagues or neighbours. No profit on it. I have also made them available to others just for the price of postage here. It is practical, it is a calendar. But it also carries the time me and my herd spend together, when I forget about all the burdens that humans bring to themselves or one another, when I connect with nature and play along its rules to make Kestle Alpacas happen.

I owe my alpacas my last corner of sanity and happiness. It is all very personal. And it just needs sharing because it is good. Good for the mind and the soul.
