These two boys are nearly 2 years old. At this time they are reaching maturity and are establishing their status in the herd. What you are watching is not a fight. Later in life, alpacas will fight, and one male will be the strongest and will take care of the herd. Here, on our farm, we can control the natural order and both will be kept away from the females until matings are due and decided. But, can you guess who proves to be the leader between these two, Trelawney (Multi/RoseGrey) or Helium (Fawn)? We will let you know in future videos.
