New year’s dreams

After a brief pause in the darkness of rainy Britain, the sun has awaken our inspiration for typing again.

Alpacas have been part of our lives for over seven years now.

In that time, we have learnt a lot about them, and we have created a quality herd that carries our own name. This takes some time with alpacas. They hold long pregnancies, and you sometimes can’t tell if they’re pregnant until they give birth -or not.

Yesterday I was looking at the breeding group. I have my eye in a particular one. I hope for a girl, as always. I think she’ll be white and her fleece will be amazing. I love the looks of either mum or dad, so she will look like any of them, they’re both outstanding animals. I shall start writing her expected day in the new calendar, in a different pen colour to the others.

I’m also going to hope for favorable weather and time to show my girls in the next year. I have a hidden treasure here and I am going to, somehow, move it forward.
