I’ve been looking at last seassion’s crias. There is less time to spend with them these days, and the halter training does not seem to have been as sharp. They still fight and refuse to walk individually, so we have to take them in small groups.
The mums are looking rather ready. DG and Ameera look double the size, at least. I hope they don’t wait too long to unpack, as those crias must be well baked already. Ivory, however, doesn’t look much full. She scanned positive nearly three months ago, but I am not convinced she is anymore. Being alpacas, though, I am open to surprises.

Other than that, we are not expecting any more this summer.

The rest of the girls have spent little time -but enough- with the studs, and I am very pleased to say we have managed to find some fine gents for the maidens. I should expect more suprem quality born in 2025. We are still in the process of spitting offs to confirm pregnancies.
Yeap, while I dream with the imminent arrival of some, I am already dreaming with next year’s crias!!
