We have our group of girls, plus two.
Extravaganza and Blinding Lights joined our herd at the end of the winter. They have settled in very well.

Extravaganza is a strong character. We allow some irritability when the girls are pregnant, also understanding that they are still stablishing their social order in the group. So feeding time is now more fun -…-. However, we have been able to perform husbandry (nail trimming, vaccinations, fleece inspection…) with no problem.
Extravaganza brings fineness and density. She will also contribute with a strong bone structure and will give a tint of colour to our creamy fawn group, to spice things up a little bit.
Sire: Furze Park Fury.
Dam: Lane House Golden Charm.
Extravaganza is mated to Lane House Emperor’s Quest and we expect their cria in the middle of July. With the combination of genetics from both sire and dam, I won’t lie when I say I am very much looking forward to this one.
Blinding Lights is young and tame, and her fleece has a very nice fawn shade and an amazing density that will also be very welcomed in our progeny.

Blinding Lights will also be mated in the spring to a very nice male. She is a maiden, we hope she will be a good breeder. She already looks confident with her new friends, and she is no problem to handle.
The only problem I have with Blinding Lights is her name. It seems too long to call her. Sometimes it comes as “Blind”, which is shorter but really not very appropriate. “Light” doesn’t sound right either. “Headlights”, “Full Beam” comes to mind when trying to retrieve her name… I don’t know, I haven’t worked this one out yet.
Sire: Kuwarra Legends Bandido.
Dam: Lane House Sacred Simplicity.
I have already chosen a male for… BL?. I will not reveal much, so I have more to talk about later in the summer, or even next year (see how much time I find to type away). I am very excited about this pairing as well.
Good things coming to Kestle Alpacas. Don’t forget to like, follow and subscribe so you don’t miss out.
