Second Dose of Blue Tongue Vaccine

We have given a second dose of the blue tongue vaccine. Our animals have had no problem whatsoever after the first dose. I am glad we are minimising the chances of losing any of these beauties. I have to confess I could barely find the animal behind the fleece! I had to dive into some of those coats to find the skin. Glad the weather is not too hot for the alpacas.

As my hands were busy vaccinating in record time -it is not due to practice: I get more stressed about the pregnancies than the very mums themselves, so I want it done quickly-, I did not take any pictures (Again!!) However, I could not help but notice that some of those fleeces are oh so yummy!

Happy with the slow but beautiful advancement in our herd quality, I am feeling very proud. With limited resources, I cannot bring the most valued animals, but I have been able to create a group of animals through research and hard work, that I can show off with delight.

Here are some images of the girls staying for more food as price after the husbandry.
