Keeping the coats dry can be a bit of a challenge. But we’ve managed to keep the alpacas fairly dry with help of the later weather.
With just few days to shearing, it’s all about keeping the pesky debris away from the alpacas. We have already work on the paddocks throughout the previous months prevent to some extent veg materia on the fleeces. Alpacas are very good at finding things that can get caught in the fibre and catch them.
We get so excited to see those coats finally on the skirting table! It will still require some -or lots- of picking and sorting. We’ll gather the patience.
