HARLEY

You lead the alpaca in front of the judge, and they talk about their flow as the animal walks. They are talking about it, but they have never seen it. The prime example of a perfect movement is Harley.

Harley is sassy. She is elegant, and she is beautiful. Of all the animals in Kestle, she is the one that catches your eye every time she walks past.

Definitely, she is one to be noticed for her markings. Harley wears white boots to her knees and a Catwoman-style mask.

Her ears are well positioned just in that spot that highlights her expressions, accentuated with the contrast of nearly black over white. Even her fleece density shows in her perfectly sized pointy ears.

Harley’s black eyes hide within the mask. Sometimes you need to look for them to find them. She stares into you with a serene contagious peace. She sniffles your essence with a prudent distance of the milky spot at the top of her snout, with wide soft nostrils and a fashionable short strongly boned muzzle.

Harley accepts just a soft hand on the neck to get to stop her, and she remains completely still until you break the hypnosis of the moment and step back. Her touch is addictive. The thick fleece on the neck cushions the pressure of your fingers and lets out the warmth of her kindness. She allows a look into her coat, and she allows a squish of the lustrous fibre. Her topline straight, her fluffy tail wide and smooth.

Strong legs hold Harley’s body like columns, firm and straight. You find Harley’s feet in black shoes at the end of white socks, and perfectly straight dark nails keep her appearance neat and minimise pedicure sessions throughout the seasons.

Harley is the third alpaca born in Kestle. The pattern comes from her mother’s side. Her look was unexpected, and setting aside mum’s lighter head, it came out of nowhere in her impecable pedigree of solid colours. Harley definitely caused an effect with such a colourful entrance.

I complain that there is no category for Harley in the shows, and her beauty shows severed on the skirting table, even though she displays an amazing coat with a uniform bay black colour and fine fibre still at 3.

With a lack of recognition outside our farm, she gets plenty from us, and thus, she is in our breeding program. I can not express enough how excited I am about the first cria she will give us. I’ll tell you all about this in the summer.
