Cruella Vetbill

Today I was thinking about the above. Better not to. The last year has been particularly draining, as the weather behaviour has made keeping the health of the farm much more difficult. It is not only wetter, but warmer, and all sorts of insects and arachnids, and the infections they may carry, have taken the chance to thrive in, on, and around the alpacas. Even shearing has been a juggle with rainy days and alpacas kept in to dry before the shearer arrives in the morning. After these thoughts were galloping through my head in a matter of seconds, I put them all away to enjoy the beauty of my youngsters.

As other events have not been favourable either, we are taking the opportunity to step back to take a better view and prepare the next moves. In the meantime, we are growing a collection of jewels onsite and keep on working to develop our breeding programme.

Looking at the alpacas, I remember the dramatic lights of the sky in Cornwall being more impressive. Even the pink and orange splashes of sunset seem to be less spirited lately.

I’m going to say thank you, though. To you that read my typings to the end every single time while I juggle with the farm to keep things going.
